All courses are fully flexible, and you can complete them at your own pace whenever suits you. While there are no compulsory live classes to attend, there are regular opportunities to attend drop-in sessions with trainers to ask questions.

Discover ten simple tips that will have a significant impact on the way that you manage conflict. (1 hour)

Learn about different conflict styles and their advantages and disadvantages. Identify your most commonly used conflict style in different contexts (e.g. in your family, in your workplace). (5 hours)

Explore conflict from three dimensions: perception, emotion and behaviour. Learn how conflict escalates and how to prevent it getting out of control. (20 hours)

Discover the power of the stories we tell ourselves and others about our conflicts. Compare the attributes of a dysfunctional conflict story with a version that promotes constructive conflict engagement. Learn strategies to support people to shift their conflict stories so they can be the hero of their future chapters (10 hours).

Examine the phenomenon of conflict in the modern workplace and develop the knowledge and skills to become the kind of leader who creates a conflict positive workplace, and provides just the right response to conflict when it arises. (20 hours)

This course applies the work of Brene Brown on courage to the conflict arena. Discover how conflict makes us vulnerable and learn how to be courageous in conflict, so you can manage it effectively and confidently, while keeping your integrity intact. (20 hours)

Discover the relationship between emotions and conflict, and how emotions can both hinder and help the way conflict is managed. Learn how to support people in conflict to understand, regulate and express their emotions in a way that enables them to manage the conflict constructively. (20 hours)

Learn the fundamental skills of coaching, and how to apply them to support people to manage their conflicts more effectively. Successful completion of the course and assessment leads to accreditation as a REAL Conflict Coach. (50 hours)

Meet our Trainers

CCI Academy's lead trainer is Samantha Hardy, PhD. She is supported by highly experienced guest trainers who co-facilitate in many of our courses.

Dr Samantha Hardy is the principal of Conflict Coaching International, and the Director and Lead Trainer for CCI Academy. She is an experienced mediator and conflict coach and the founder of the REAL Conflict Coaching Systemâ„¢. She provides conflict support to managers and leaders across the world. She also provides professional development training, supervision and mentorship to mediators and coaches who work with clients in conflict.

Sam has been accredited as a mediator under the Australian National Mediation Accreditation System and is a Certified Transformative Mediator by the US Institute of Conflict Transformation. She is a Certified Narrative Coach.

In 2021 Sam was awarded the Australian Resolution Institute Award for Service to Dispute Resolution for her leadership and innovation in the field. She was also awarded 2022 Conflict Coach of the Year at the Australian Dispute Resolution Awards.

Sam holds a PhD in Law and Conflict Resolution, as well as other postgraduate qualifications in adult education.

Sam is a well known trainer and university educator, holding adjunct appointments at a number of universities in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA.

Sam has also published widely in conflict resolution, including her books Dispute Resolution in Australia, Mediation for Lawyers and Conflict Coaching Fundamentals: Working with Conflict Stories.
